Congrats Dr. Jay & Kim Bishop on your new baby boy (Jackson Richard Bishop) Born 2:38am June 2nd. So excited to see another hockey head being born. All my love to the three of you.
Sorry to say but Buffalo didn't make it. The injury stricken Sabres couldn't pull off the miracle we wanted so badly. On the bright side, Bemus Point native Kevin Adams will not be playing pick-up Wednesday night hockey at the JSBIA. He will be playing in possibly the most important seven games of his life, THE STANLEY CUP. So hats off to Kevin and all his family and friends locally and hope they can pull it off. After all it is another USA - v.s – Canada match-up.
News at the JSBIA is still on the up side. Oh yeah, Tom Faber if your reading call me ASAP, I'm checking to see if you're reading my hard work (HAHA). We have a new tournament in the works for November 10-12. Named the “Interscholastic Hockey Today USA Scholastic Showcase 2006 Tournament” 1 st annual Governor's Cup. Jeff Mauro, the director will be seeking teams from all over the United States . All teams must have the credentials of being a state championship winner or a multiple winner in past years. “This will be good, fast hockey”, claimed Jeff Mauro in an e-mail. For more information on the June 15 th deadline for teams please contact Jeff Mauro at: jeffmauro@aol.com . Or you can check it out on the Website at www.pahockey.com . The JSBIA is actively seeking new organizations interested in holding tournaments or hockey events. We can accommodate just about anything with our double rink facility. Just drop me a line sfadale@netsync.net
Last but certainly not least for everyone that has been e-mailing me about more drop in hockey times please check out the schedule on our website www.jsbia.com . Our gracious Office Manager has made time available at the rink on numerous days and at different times. Please take advantage of this or we will have to turn it into public skate or figure skating times (OH NO!). And when you're at the rink for hockey please give a nice warm compliment to Robyn, she is making a lot of this happen too. Thanks for reading and see you next week.
PS – Sorry no player profile this week.
