Gebbie Foundation, Inc
Founded in 1964, the Gebbie Foundation is the charitable fund established by Geraldine Gebbie Bellinger and Marion Bertram Gebbie. The stated mission of the Foundation is to support appropriate charitable and humanitarian programs to improve the quality of life, primarily in Chautauqua County, by focusing on: Children/youth/education; Arts; Human Services; and Community Development. In 2002, the Foundation declared a strategic intent: to rejuvenate downtown Jamestown, NY, through economic development to make it an attractive place to work, live, shop, visit, and raise a family.
The Gebbie Foundation believes that a successful economic development plan for Jamestown will create jobs, stimulate entrepreneurial investment, encourage neighborhood improvements, and attract visitors. www.gebbie.org
